First Annual Old Town Fall Festival

Please join us Saturday October 2nd, 8 am - 5 pm and October 3rd 9 am - 4 pm for our first annual Old Town Fall Festival.  Proceeds from the festival go to  benefit Danielle Loftus who was injured in a jet-skiing accident this summer.  Here's a quick preview of the weekend:

More than 30 vendors, including Family Kettle Corn, Fat Boys BBQ, Peggy's Place mini donuts!  Wildfire Wings and Things, along with several artisians and crafters from throughout the state.  Also joining us are the  Rochester Lions Club, Boy Scouts and Razzo's. 

ABC of hair will be hosting a cut-a thon on Sunday Oct 3.  Haircuts will be free and  donations can be made to the benefit.

 Many Illinois merchants have generously donated several items for the silent auction and raffle. Wait til you see the gift cards--from shooting range passes to massages.  Something for everyone :)

14th Anniversary

Fourteen years ago today, Petals & Co. opened for business. Michelle may have taken a moment today to wear her custom-made Derby Hat--now where's that camera?, but there wasn't a lot of time to celebrate!  The shop was filled with hundreds of awesome works-of-art corsages waiting for pick-up this morning, beautiful beautiful wedding flowers to be delivered, and oh yes--mother's day is next week!

 But we do want to take a minute on this special day to say thank you to you, our loyal customers, for this opportunity to bring you the best in fresh & silk flower designs.  Call us or stop by to see us soon!

Just wanted to share a few more pictures from our whirlwind flower weekend at the Crowne Plaza here in Springfield a couple of weeks ago.  We were honored to have the master of floral art, Phil Rulloda of Southern California's School of Floral Design.  He amazed us with incredible weavings and fabulous tropical foliages.

Over the last few days, the Illinois State Florists' Association turned The Crown Plaza into a flowerland!  Florists from four states  gathered for the Spring Conference to learn all about the latest  techniques and styles so that we can provide the very best to YOU, our customers!Beautiful wedding flowers from Gerald Toh AIFD.

Scrumptuous structured bouquet of pink roses, hypericum--caged and collared--from the master Phil Rulloda AIFD. . . Petals & Co. owner Michelle worked tirelessly in the design room to bring all those beautiful flowers and designers together.  In this shot, she and Chelle paused for a picture at the Presidential Banquet and Awards ceremony.  Check out those corsages!
